Man of God Sells ‘Anointed’ Cucumbers to Members During Service (Photos)

A Zimbabwean pastor seems to have gained spiritual inspiration from the cucumber saga of the former Miss Anambra, Chidinma Okeke… Cucumber of all things?

According to reports making the rounds online, a Zimbabwean Prophet, Walter Magaya, allegedly sold anointed cucumbers in his church as the congregants especially the ladies patronized him well.

“The things we hear about pastors and their quests for miracles these days is quite alarming” a social media user said.

This act seems not have gone down well with some online users who have registered their displeasure by blasting the pastor.

The reason behind this action remains sketchy. The harmless cucumber fruit has been linked with s*x in recent times as utilized by some lesbians.

Supreme Court Upholds Bello’s Election As Kogi Governor

Nigeria's Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected four appeals against the election of Mr. Yahaya Bello as governor of Kogi.

Mr. James Faleke has made a call, recent running mate afternoon Abubakar Audu who was the candidate for governor of all Progressive Congress (APC) until his death.

Audi's death led to confusion and controversy about his replacement because of a loophole in the electoral law of the Constitution, which did not include a situation where a governor candidate dies before the end of the election.

Faleke argued that it was the legitimate replacement and the votes cast for the APC belonged to him and Audu. The CPA, however, named Bello who was second behind his primary government as a replacement for Audu.

Yahaya Bello as a candidate in elections APC defeated then-Governor of Kogi, Mr. Idris Wada, and was subsequently sworn in as governor.

Other appeals rejected by Tuesday Supreme Court to uphold the choice of Bello as governor of Kogi were presented by former Governor Wada People's Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party and the Congress of African Democratic (ADC).

How I Got The ‘Toyosi’ Role on Jenifa’s Diary – Olayode Juliana

Olayode Juliana a.k.a Toyosi baby (nickname picked from popular TV series, Jenifa’s Diary) never believed that she would one day act alongside her screen idol, Funke Akindele. That explains her joy when she was chosen to act as Toyosi in the acclaimed TV series, Jenifa’s Diary. In this chat, she speaks more on how she clinched the major role. Excerpts…

How did you find yourself on the set of Jenifa’s Diary?

I always say that it’s a miracle because I just went for the auditions like every other
person. The audition was supposed to start by 10’o clock but I got there around 8am
thinking that I was very early, but I was number 273 on the list. I was so surprised
because the crowd was so much and at a point, I felt like going back home, but my
mum encouraged me to stay. When I got into the audition room, I saw Aunty Funke,
the director and some other people that were auditioning. I read the script, though I was nervous because I knew that a lot of people had auditioned before me, so I wasn’t really expecting anything. After the audition, they said they’ll get back to me, and I said okay because that’s what everybody says. Then Aunty Funke promised to call every one of us that even if we don’t get major roles, we will all appear on Jenifa’s diary. And so far so good, she has kept to her words because so many people who did not get major roles have appeared in the series one way or the
other.

How did you feel on the day you were called back to appear in the series?

Like I said earlier, I wasn’t expect the call at all because after the first audition, we
were called back three other times to appear for script reading, so it was
competitive because there were many people reading for the role of Toyosi.
However, at the end of the day, I got the role and I was moved to tears. Aunty Funke
then hugged me, and asked why I was crying. I told her that I didn’t believe I would get the role, that I just tried it for the
experience.

Is this your first time on set?

I’ve been on about four sets, but Jenifa’s Diary was, and is still a big deal to me
because I love Aunty Funke so much. I have watched all the Jenifa movies, and I admire
her so much. Being on set with her has been so amazing.

How has the experience been like working with her?

She is an amazing person, because she respects you no matter the role you’re
playing, and how big or small you are. She loves making everybody happy, and she’s
also a disciplinarian. She gives advice, and she wants to assist in everything. She helps
the make-up artist, and she sometimes helps to fuel the generator just to make
sure that everything is going right.
How do you find her character, Jenifa?
Jenifa is very hilarious. She could be lousy, but she is also a very loyal person. She is
funny but at the same time you can learn a lot from her character. She is someone who
is a hustler, and she wants to make it big.
She is also caring; sometimes, Toyosi gets home tired and Jenifa would have already
prepared her food. Basically, Jenifa is not just a funny character, it’s a character that
people should watch out for and learn a lot from.

Would you like to have Jenifa as a friend in real life?

It’s a yes and no for me. Yes, because she is honest, loyal and caring. No, because it’s
difficult to put Jenifa in her place; she always wants to be in everyone’s business,
whether or not she is called.

Some of the things treated in the series are funny but do you think they are close to reality?

Everything in Jenifa’s Diary is realistic. A couple of times, some people say is there
anybody in the world that speaks the kind of bad English Jenifa speaks. But recently, I
met somebody who spoke even worse English than Jenifa. We were
communicating and she said something that made me think this is Jenifa for real. Many
of the characters in Jenifa’s Diary can be found in people out there.

What has being on Jenifa’s Diary changed about you?

It has brought fame, because sometimes, I walk out of my house and people walk to me saying they know me. And when I go to church just wanting to be myself, people
also come to me. Since so many people are big fans of Jenifa, they always like to watch
the show, and they get to see other characters and the people playing them.
Acting as Toyosi has taught me to be patient and tolerant because she tolerates Jenifa so
much.

Adekunle Gold Is Suing All The Bloggers That Uploads His Album On Their Sites

YBNL act, Adekunle Gold, quietly dropped his highly anticipated
album, ‘Gold,’ yesterday, exclusively on iTunes.

However, barely a day after dropping the album on iTunes,
several music blogs, had the album uploaded on their sites for
free download, an act the ‘Ready’ crooner, is reportedly vexed
about.

A twitter user, who cam across the illegal action by one of such
blogs, tweeted at Adekunle Gold, suggesting that he take legal
action against them, a tweet Adekunle Gold replied saying, they
are on it and thanking the fan for his suggestion.

Singer, Patoranking Unveils Album Art Cover, Release Date

Foston Music act, Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, known as Patoranking, has unveiled the cover of his much anticipated album.

The dance hall artiste shared the cover of the album titled ”God Over Everything (GOE)” and confirmed that the album would be dropping soon.

He said the album will be released on Monday, August 1, 2016 even as he promised his fans to expect the best from the album.

Patoranking started his musical career doing underground collaborations with artists such as XProject, Konga, Slam and Reggie Rockstone. He signed a record deal with K-Solo’s Igberaga Records in 2010, releasing “Up in D Club” under the outfit.

He became a protégé of Dem Mama Records after collaborating with Timaya on his song “Alubarika”. In February 2014, he signed a record deal with Foston Musik and released “Girlie O”, a single that pushed him in the limelight.

Rising Nollywood actresses, Chelsea Eze has revealed that she can act n*de if the scene is done in a tasteful manner and she is offered the right incentives.

According to the actress, she would only participate in such scenes if the money is right.

“If the opportunity comes with a good story and the money is right, I can act n*de. As long as it’s tastefully done, I am okay with it,” she said.

“I will not be able to do a full frontal. I am not particular about what I am showing or what I am not showing. As an actor, you should be able to go the extra mile to portray certain character. There was no way the scene where Lupita Njong was n*de could have been done without her going n*de. If the story warrants that I go naked, of course I will do it because I am an actor before anything.”

Although Nigerian society frowns seriously at nudity and thespians get never-ending backlashes from fans, the fair-skinned actress said if the film was worth it, she could live with the backlash.

“I’m weary of the backlash because as human beings, some comments will get to me but at the end of the day I am an actor.”

She also stated that the fee for acting n*de would have to be in millions and insisted that her future husband would have to understand that acting is make-believe.

‘How I Met My First Love’ Singer Simi Reveals

Singer, Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye, known simply as Simi, has opened up on how she met her first love and shot down rumours of relationship with artiste friends.

The singer disclosed this, effectively shooting down rumours of romantic relationships with either of Falz or Adekunle Gold.

“My first love? I met him when I was 13 and in SS1. I was just about to turn 14 and he just came to my school,” she said.

“But it did happen, and he left my school after a while, so we drifted apart. Then we met somewhere again. We drifted apart again and then that was it.”

Simi, who also admitted that she is in a romantic relationship with someone, said she hopes that the person is the one she ends up settling down with.

According to her, that should naturally be the outcome when one is emotionally invested in a love affair.

“Well, I hope he is the one because I don’t think relationships should just be for leisure. I can’t really speak for anybody but for me.

“If I am giving you an access to that part of my life then it has to be worth my while and worth his while as well. But I can’t force it though, if he is the one, fine and if not, fine.”
